When Jess asked me to shoot some engagement photos for her, I was thrilled! Nevermind that I had never done an engagement shoot before, right?
Although we live by the beach, and have been having an amazing summer, a night like this is a rare thing! The sky actually stopped us in our tracks a few times, it was absolutely breathtaking.
So again, this will be photo-heavy, but I have to share!
We started off with them just walking around, enjoying the beach. The tide was waaaaaaaay out which is ideal:
They are getting married in March in the Caribbean, and they had a plan, so while Robert worked away, Jessie. . . didn't! That's ok though, gave me time to practice some backlighting!
She ok'd the plan and sent him off to work on it:
and then she watched him work:
(any of the overlays or wordart here are by Vol 25)
This was the end result, which will be going in their invitations! So cute!
After all his hard work, he got this, and I got the sky!
is that not spectacular??
Then there was a little of this:
how cute are they?
Then we got up to move on to location #2 but not before snapping these:
this might be my favourite shot of the night, and a huge thank you to the beach for providing such excellent and interesting texture for us!
We headed out to location #2, some fabulous rocks, where once again, the sky, and now the sunset, stopped us dead - it was breathtaking!
I risked my life (and camera!) and followed them onto the rocks, snapped a few more pics, and we called it a night:
Jess couldn't leave without a fun silhouette pic, and since Robert just wouldn't strike a Spice Girls pose with her she recruited Emma, who had come along with a friend to keep me company:
Jessie and Robert, thanks for the fun and for introducing me to "Jessie's Rocks" and congratulations again!
I am guest blogging here today and Wednesday, and the topic coincidentally is shooting at the beach, so hop on over and say hi!
Have a great week!
